Steel Pipe Bitching and some other stuff
Mar. 5th, 2005 03:21 amI feel the need to bitch about something completely inniculous and pointless. Unfortunately, since Kat keeps playing AIM music chairs and logging off before I can actually message her to bitch to a real person (Love you Kat), I'm going to bitch here.
I'm playing Final Fantasy 8 and am on disc three. I'm pretty close to the end of disc three and only have one GF to get for the full compliment. That GF is Doomtrain (one of my favorites - awesome animation). Yes, I already have Eden (I shouldn't have been able to beat Ultima Weapon on my first try but I somehow did) and you'd think getting eden would be harder than Doomtrain.
To get Doomtrain, you need the Solomon Ring, 6 marlboro tentacles, 6 remedy+ and 6 steel pipes. Seems Doomtrain is a greedy bastard and won;t come play with you until you give him shit. I have all that EXCEPT the fucking steel pipes. In my 50+ hours of playing the game, I've only gotten one steel pipe and am currently hunting for more. There's two monsters that drop them: Wedigo and Elastoid. Unfortuantely, the Elastoids are no longer accessible since you only fight them as monsters in a Laguna flashback.
So I go wendigo hunting. Problem is I can't seem to find the little shits. I've looked them up on FAQS and such and have gone to the three places I've found listing them and still can't find them. I'm getting really annoyed about it. How hard should it be to find Wendigos? And no, they aren't in the snowy regions of the map.
Grar! I really don't want to try and win Elastoid cards in Triple Triad even though they mod into steel pipes one for one. I have no clue who in the world would be using Elastoid cards. Hunting for that might be as bad as hunting for the actual creature. At least witht he creature hunting I get experience. I curse theee steel pipes!

Now that my bitching is done, today (March 4th) was my sister's birthday. She's 17 now. I feel old and I'm only 25. I was supposed to go to Erie today to see Sue and my sister, but the damn weather and the noises my car are making nixxed that idea. So I've been bored. I hope Kat decides to pop online (and stay) soon so we can finish up the scene we left in limbo this morning cause sleeptime was calling. I hate being bored.
