I finally got an estimate done on the damage from the hit and run back in April on my car. The body damage alone (not the mechanical stuff that needs repaired) comes to roughly $1400. Add another $300 for mechanical repairs and we've got about $1700 damage to my car. Since I can't get anywhere with the insurance companies (not to mention I don;t really know what I'm doing) I've opted to let Mom talk to them. The one company of the guy that actually hit me seems to not be responding to ANYONE; not me, not my mom and not the adjuster from the other insurance company involved.
So after talking to the adjuster of EnCompass Insurance, they've agreed to pay half of the repairs to my car since neither party involved in hitting my car will claim fault. They're sending an appraiser over to look at my car tomorrow noonish. I wonder how much they'll say the repairs are. I'll have to remember to tell him about the wheel and the tire. I'm feeling better knowing I should get half of the repair money soon. In theory.
At work today I was handed the BIg Red Binder of Doom. It's my In-Restaurant Manager Trainee Guide. This is the training stuff for the Assistant Manager position. So much to read. Whee....
